Recount: How Bush's Cronies Stole the 2000 Election

HBO Films has produced a movie about the Florida 2000 recount. I haven't seen it yet, but I did read the script by Danny Strong. Trust me, it's very good. It's also pretty fair and balanced, presenting both sides truthfully from their perspectives.



When you have a chance, see it. The theft of the 2000 election was the original sin of George W. Bush, and it foretold the disaster he would unleash upon the country in later years. Anyone who would actually prevent votes from being counted in order to win the presidency obviously has no respect for democracy, the voters, the Constitution, or what's right. It's no surprise that someone as morally bankrupt as Bush would lead us into an illegal war, would approve torture in our name, would cut taxes for the rich while the country goes under, and would pack his administration with crooks and con artists.

It's important that every American understand how this travesty happened.
